Among the waste is organic waste, such as household waste, dried leaves, fabrics made from natural fibers (Suyitno, 2007). This encourages many people to process the waste into more valuable items, such as the utilization of skin from fruit and grain from organic waste into something of value. One way of utilizing fruit waste into something valuable is the extraction of essential oils from fruit skin (Astarini, 2010 and Fong, 2012). One of the fruit peels that can be used is sweet orange peel (Citrus sinensis). Chemical compounds contained in the sweet orange peel can be utilized because it has constituent groups pectin (Srivastava and Malviya, 2011) and essential oils.
